Under the wonderful guidance of God, I became a part-time co-worker of the CCHC Bookstore in 2001 and then a full-time co-worker in 2006. Brothers and sisters often purchase bibles, Christian books, audio-video products, and gifts for non-Christians and Christian friends to lead them closer to God. The literature ministry is not constrained by time or space, and can be used as a silent tool to spread the Gospel. In the past years, whenever we had a book fair out of town, I helped out with mixed emotions. When my children were younger, they used to help me with the book stands. Nowadays, they have all grown up and gone out of state for college. Even when they come back to visit me, I still have to take care of the book stand alone. Once I felt so full of self-pity that I thought of quitting my job and going home. However, through a loving pastor, God encouraged me to stick to my commitment and fix my eyes on the Lord, continue to rely on His grace and the loving help of co-workers. Holding on to His promises, I will continue to walk on this path filled with hard work and blessings. |

I have served in the Community Center of CCHC for a long time. I often meet people who didn’t know the Lord. They would try so hard to solve their problems with their own abilities, intelligence or personal relations. Sometimes it seemed that the problems were solved but often their hearts were still filled with unsolvable pain and loss. I would take these opportunities to tell them about Jesus but am often rejected. Before a person’s heart is touched by God, he will not open it voluntarily. Without a channel of love, it is not possible for people to come to know Jesus. In CCHC, with the command of our Lord, we love people in the community. The needs of human hearts can only be met by love. However, if they do not know Jesus, who is the source of love, there will be a lack of true love in the community. Let us cherish the grace from God and truly love people in our community. |

“The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom.” The word from the book of Isaiah inspired me to lay down myself and join CCHC, so as to seek opportunities to pass on the love of Jesus Christ. The ministry of CCHC truly reflects the statement of “there is a time to weep and a time to laugh.” When those who came to seek help became believers of Jesus, their weaknesses turned to strengths. They could face the future with courage, and we laughed and cheered for them! However, we felt like weeping when some people fell out of God’s grace. Nonetheless, God is faithful and His wisdom is beyond measure. We are merely vessels in His hands. He will use different people to do various ministries. May God bestow us sufficient grace and power upon us because His love never fails. |

I am in charge of counseling at the Center of Family Ministry in CCHC Dallas. I often encounter difficult cases. Someone once asked me, “You always carry others’ burdens. Don’t you feel a tremendous amount of pressure?” My secret is to place the burden upon the Lord as soon as possible. I believe the Lord will take care of everything. The first thing I do every day at work is to kneel down and pray, and ask the Lord to be with me. Help from man is limited, and only the Lord can rescue people out of despair. I want to share testimonies of the Lord’s faithfulness and kindness. I have witnessed many who came here with sorrow but left in joy. Their voices on the phone began with despair but ended with hope. I praise Him and thank Him for all these! I believe the Lord never ceases to work at CCHC. As long as we faithfully serve Him and spread the Gospel in one accord, the Lord will bless us with more fruitful ministries. |
