I have served in CCHC Canada for the past 15 years. The more I serve here, the more I’m convinced of the truth in Job 42:5 - “My ears have heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.”
After I witnessed God’s mighty power in our purchase of the present building, I’m convinced that God never forsakes His ministry. He’s even pleased with the little things I do here. All things belong to Him. I’m just the clay at the potter’s hands. All the clay can do is to allow the potter to knead. He is my companion in the journey of faith. He gives me strength and courage to move on because I know that walking on His ordained path is the best choice.
If I count the monetary and materialistic gains, CCHC has not offered me much. However, God is training me to have faith and trust in His supply. The spiritual lessons I learn are so precious that I’m determined to be even more committed and allow Him to continue leading me. |
 |
The first time I came to know Herald Monthly, I was immediately attracted by the team spirit among the staff. I admired the co-workers’ support to one another and their faithful, sacrificing service for the Lord.
Later on, I had the privilege to join CCHC. I echo the vision to call the flock that is outside the pen to return to our Father’s care, and I’m convinced that nothing is more valuable than preaching the gospel! I’m constantly encouraged by the testimonies of the brothers and sisters I interview. When I receive articles written by mature Christians, I see the living water overflowing in them to impact the world. My passion is in Christian literary work. May it influence many to receive Christ Jesus. |
 |
I’m a journalist by profession so I joined the editing department of Herald Monthly. The pen is our tool and weapon. Each time I write something, my heart is filled with awe, praying for the Holy Spirit’s help that the article can be a tool to glorify God and to touch souls. We live in a postmodern world where there’s no absolute truth or value. The Bible-based Herald Monthly with its sensitivities to current issues and Christian perspective is a lamp for the community, a manna of life to the hungry and a spring of living water to restore souls. I pray that each article written by quality writers, will bring the good news of Christ Jesus to all around the world. |
 |
When I first joined the Herald Monthly Canada team, I was working as a substitute worker. However, God had plans for me to stay and transferred me to do administrative work. I’m grateful that what I learned at church proved to be instrumental here. I realize that God had been preparing me for a long time. Whenever a need arises, he would send the right people to assist me. I praise Him because He opens my eyes to see His work, which is different from secular work. We can’t rely on man’s wisdom and ability to do the kingdom work, but only on this omnipotent and generous God!
God had used my past experience to train me for today’s challenges. I’m not sure whether God is presently training me for His future work, but I do pray that He would use me to accomplish His plans. |

I joined CCHC Canada in 2001 as a graphic designer for Herald Monthly. In these few years, I witnessed the improvement of the Herald Monthly Canada edition. The publication has increased to 20 pages and gradually color print was replacing the black-and-white print. The advertisements have also doubled. These improvements meant the increase of my workload and more sleepless nights. Sometimes I feel exhausted. However, I know God has led me here and I treasure the opportunity to grow. What I really want to thank God for is the supportive team I have. We look out for one another. We support and encourage mutually. I share the prayer requests of my personal life and ministerial needs in our prayer meetings. My prayer partners intercede for me. I may be physically exhausted yet spiritually, I’m often renewed so my joy overflows. |
 |
I joined Herald Monthly Canada two years ago as a part-time co-worker in the advertising department and my main responsibilities were to contact clients and to do billing.
I thought my employment was only temporary. In less than six months, my life underwent an “earthquake.” My health and relationships with people were threatened. Praise the Lord for His rescue! At the same time, the ministry of Herald Monthly was expanding. In order not to hinder its growth, I had resigned. However, the administrative department told me that there was no time to train new staff. I knew that was their way of humoring and comforting me, because they even allowed me to work part-time. Lord-willing, I’m still part of the CCHC family. Each time I leave home for work, I ask God to hold my hand, to give me wisdom to do my job and to bless CCHC, His ministry. |
 |
As I look back on the “wind and waves” I experienced at CCHC, many times I almost chose to run away. Yet when I focused on the gracious Lord, even though the hardship remained, it has become a reminder for me to rely on the Lord. My burden was unloaded unto my Master’s shoulder. Then I learned why Jesus said His yoke is easy. The God that loves me unfailingly, my Master, my Teacher, never forsakes nor abandons me. He’s patiently standing beside me, allowing challenges to take place in my life so that I can grow to maturity.
My co-workers and I have experienced God’s love and grace immensely through the process of purchasing the new office. This process presents many difficulties, but I take courage and persevere because I know that God’s love is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. |
 |
CCHC is a big family for me. Every day at the office, I feel like I’m working in a sweet home because God has given me a group of supportive and loving co-workers. I enjoy the fellowship and friendship so much that I hate leaving the office after work.
As the bookkeeper, I get to see the donation list. Each time a donation comes in, I’m reminded of God’s unfailing promise and care. There’s sufficient manna for each day. Recently, I learned that a Canadian supporter inquired about the New York Herald Mission Center and LA Medical Center in order to make a donation. From this, God shows me He approves of the ministry of CCHC. I want to utilize this opportunity to thank God for bringing me here. What tremendous blessings I have received! |

Praise God for His grace! I joined Herald Monthly (Canada West) about seven years ago to work with a group of volunteers to reach out to the community using my literary work to testify the love of Christ. All these years, I’m the only full-time staff in the Canada West Office doing all the work including: administration, recruiting writers, editing, typesetting, advertising, contacting volunteers, publishing, distributing, accounting and book-keeping. The workload is heavy, yet God’s grace abounds. I am always blessed to be the first one to read many quality articles and have the privilege to work with pastors and churches to see the wondrous work of God. I learn from the writers and volunteers through their faithful character and perseverance. I also enjoy sharing the gospel with readers who are seekers. All the while, God’s timely provisions always comfort me. I’m not alone. His abundant supply is with me. |
 |
I am involved in the graphic design of Herald Monthly Canada edition on a freelance basis. When I took up the position, I had worked in the field of graphic design for many years but it was the first time I designed for a newspaper. Each month I would contact the Canada East editing team via phone or email. We were there to support and encourage each other. This team spirit manifested unity within the body of Christ. In June 2007, I was privileged to be able to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Herald Month Canada in Toronto, where I got to meet co-workers from the East coast of Canada. It was like a family reunion. I was grateful for their hospitality.
When I took the job, my heart was humbled with the many opportunities to learn. I rejoice in the Lord and feel grateful to Him. God is my art director and without Him, I can do nothing. |
 |
It never occurred to me that one day I would be a reporter! I praise God for the privilege He gives me to join the ministry from which I get to interview God’s people, hear from their first-hand encounters with the Lord, and the challenge of Christian witness in their profession. All of their professional knowledge is beneficial to me and their stories help me to build a deeper faith in the Lord.
Though we post in the Western part of Canada and we’re in different time zone from the CCHC Canada East office, in addition to the fact that I’ve never met the majority of their co-workers, I enjoy the benefits from our teamwork. We have one goal that unifies us: to labor for the Lord so that our readers may know Christ. There’s nowhere like Herald Monthly that could satisfy me in serving the Lord. |

My heart is always moved as I edit CCHC’s The Passion. When I read Rev. Lo’s memoir, I visualized how CCHC had began with one table. The meager beginnings of CCHC brought their coworkers to work diligently and constantly attend to the outreach ministry. Year after year, CCHC seems to be lacking but due to God’s everlasting fullness and His abundant providence, we always have just enough. CCHC’s silver anniversary reminds us of God’s grace, “‘Not by might nor by power, but by my spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.” (Zechariah 4:6) Thanks to the Lord! |
